Presentations from top companies worldwide

This year’s simulation conference agenda features 21 presentations from leaders across a variety of industries, showcasing their successful implementation of simulation modeling. Let’s take a sneak peek at what they are going to speak about.

BlueScope Steel: powering industry from Australia

BlueScope Steel, Australia’s largest steel manufacturer, has upgraded its Port Kembla facilities. Partnering with SimWell, they used simulation to model the slab yard before, during, and after construction. Key features included crane task prioritization, dual-furnace operations, and strategic storage management.

At the simulation conference, BlueScope Steel will walk us through how they simulated these operations and avoided millions in contingency costs, ensuring uninterrupted production during the upgrade.

Airbus: driving innovation from India

Airbus India has introduced a co-simulation framework that enables secure, multi-enterprise collaboration. Independently developed models from different teams can work together as “black boxes,” preserving proprietary data.

Join the conference to discover how this approach allows professionals to perform systemic risk analysis across supply chains, energy systems, and aerospace operations, empowering stakeholders to make decisions without exposing sensitive IP.

Vale: mining excellence from Brazil

Vale logo and an image of mining operations

Vale will present two projects in which AnyLogic was used to support strategic decision-making in complex mining operations. The first study evaluated the performance of a mining system, focusing on material handling and transportation from mine to plant. The second examined the operational feasibility of the future access route, a critical component of a strategic expansion project at a Brazilian iron ore mine.

Vale’s experts will highlight AnyLogic’s strengths in rapid model development, ready-to-use and custom libraries, and the unique benefits of the multimethod simulation approach.

Amazon: insights from the United States

Amazon will present a study on optimizing outbound containerization strategies across its first- and middle-mile facilities. By combining network-level simulation, 3D bin-packing optimization, and financial modeling, Amazon identified a hybrid approach: automating most outbound operations while retaining fluid loading for the three highest-volume destinations.

Learn from Amazon at the conference about how simulation supported their strategy, offering a scalable design with automated pallet-building and smart buffering.

AstraZeneca: breakthroughs from the United Kingdom
