The AnyLogic Conference 2023 served as a dynamic platform for industry leaders to showcase cutting-edge applications of simulation modeling. Esteemed companies such as Amazon, PwC, Migros Online, and Archer Aviation presented insightful case studies and innovative solutions across various domains.
Amazon gave two presentations. The idea of the first was to build an optimal fulfillment network from a network topology, planning, and execution perspective to find a balance between efficiency and effectiveness. The second one focused on the analysis of transportation yards at scale using two agent-based models. To allow the stakeholders in this project to run their own custom experiments, the AnyLogic Cloud platform was used.
PwC leveraged AnyLogic to build a model that interfaces with SAP Digital Manufacturing, orchestrating factory operations seamlessly. Orders from SAP are assigned, and modifications to the model on the simulated factory floor are relayed back to SAP. This results in the creation of a functional digital twin of the production line, facilitating planning and optimization.
Migros Online, in collaboration with Decision Lab, developed a digital twin to comprehensively understand the impact of various initiatives on the overall costs of their manual picking customer fulfillment centers.
The AnyLogic team conducted an interactive workshop, offering hands-on experience with the features of AnyLogic 9, allowing attendees to create and run models in their browsers. Participants explored the integration of AnyLogic 9 with AnyLogic Cloud and compared cloud-based and desktop development environments. This session provided insights into the future of integrated simulation, highlighting advancements in developmental tools and environments.
